LLOYD R. JOHNSON
We've launched our first book:
FOOLS NEVER RAISE THEIR THOUGHTS SO HIGH
Home Page

Welcome to LloydRJohnson.com

This website looks like it's about me but it's really about you.  It was created because I wrote a book entitled, Fools Never Raise Their Thoughts So High.  I was encouraged to write it by my son, Raymond S. Johnson.  I often quoted my father and Raymond suggested I write the quotes  down.  Raymond and I used to keep a list of quotes we liked from all over.  I showed him the list of Daddy's quotes and realizing that some of them had stories behind them Raymond finally said, "Why don't you write a book?"  So, I did.  Click on About the Book in the menu to the left and read more about the book.  Click here to buy the book Links & Resources.

I'm trying to decide how to design this website to benefit you.  I'm hoping to provide a forum for positive thought and expression.  Since this book is about my Dad, maybe Christian fatherhood or manhood will be the forum with discussion groups.  There are several Christian websites about fatherhood and manhood development.  We'll just add one more.

There is a lot less laughter than there used to be.  Many people lack compassion.  Karen Armstrong, author of Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life, wrote in her book, "Martin Luther King Jr. believed that the highest point of Jesus' life was the moment when he forgave his executioners, when instead of attempting to defeat evil with evil, he was able to prevail over it with good."

I am a Christian and much of what I have to say will be Bible based.  Some of what is said here will come from modern day prophets such as, The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a man sent by God.  Some will come from theologians like Dietrich Bonhoeffer.  Some will come from you and I will acknowledge you when it does.  In the meantime I hope you will purchase my book and read my blogs, Kingdom Speaking and This Too Is My Story, (see Links & Resources).

The prayer I pray most often is this, "Father in heaven, in all of the things we do for each other and to each other and in all of the things we say to each other and about each other, let that mind be in us which was also in Christ Jesus in who's name we pray.  Amen."

Come back to LloydRJohnson.com often.  Check out my blogs (click on Links & Resources on the left).  See if I've written any new books.  I'm working on the outline for a saga right now.
